Power & Electricity

On Wednesday we had our power cut off for maintenance for the entire day. So Maddy & I spent the morning at the pool but were too tired to go shopping so came home (in the heat and hot house mind you) for a rest. At 2pm Maddy woke me up asking me to come downstairs to turn her TV on. I told her that I couldn't as there was no power. Her response - 'but mum you have special powers'...so come downstairs & turn my TV on. I tried to tell her that we needed power to turn the TV on but she kept insisting that I had the power.

So I changed my strategy and said that we needed electricity for the TV to work and that the electricity man had turned the electricity off to do work on the lines. Why?? Because But why??? Arrrrghhhhh! She asked me where the electricity man was, I responded that he was doen the road in his van working on the lines. Her response, 'Get up mum I have to go down the street and tell the electricity man to turn it back on so I can watch my TV'. Priceless:)
