Our pending arrival

Today marks 18 weeks into this pregnancy and a visit to the ob/gyn. I had an ultra sound and Maddy got to see her new brother/sister for the very first time. She was captivated by the image she saw.

The baby is very, VERY active and is constantly moving. Inevery ultra sound I have had so far, which have been quite a few, the doctors have all made comment about how active this baby is. Just like Maddy!!! So that does not give my any further clues as to whether it is a boy or girl. We just have to wait two more weeks and we should be able to share the news.

Maddy loves to rub my tummy and tells Joel to be quiet because the baby is sleeping. She is adamant that she will have a baby sister, NOT a brother adn tells me while I am eating that the baby is having her dinner too. She is very cluey about these things.

At the Dr's office we saw a brand new baby and she kept saying that this little baby girl was the same size as her baby sister. I am glad the baby is not really that big yet - I am happy to wait a lot longer for the baby to get bigger but she knows that that is the size her baby brother or sister will be when they are born. Though she does want to know when I will have the baby adn I tell her the baby is too small and needs to stay inside my tummy and do some more cooking to get bigger!
