"I listened to Stephen today!"

SWIMMING

Maddy's coach is Stephen. She attends the Hayley Lewis swimming School at Carindale and she loves it. Stephen has been teaching her to do big circle arms like they do in freestyle rather than doing paddles for about 6 months now. She has good days and not so good days but is improving and just loves swimming.

She has two little friends at swimming, Victoria and Emily. The three of them together sees Stephen tearing his hair out...they can be little misfits, bobbing up and down in the water, gossiping with each other and not listneing and doing what Stephen has asked them to do. Poor Stephen.

We have been saying to Maddy each week that she has to listen to Stephen adn do what he asks her to. Today she did quite well and didn't get into too much trouble. In fact all three girls had a good lesson today and ended their lesson with a race. The race consists of Stephen saying "Ready, Set, Go!" Victoria and Emily jump in and race to the finish and Maddy stands their, with Max, and waits for the girls to finish then starts her race. How funny, no matter what we or Stephen say she still waits and does the race on her own. Maybe she thinks that she wins each time I have no idea. But it is quite funny to watch.

Maddy jumped out of the pool today and ran over to me to tell me that "I listened to Stephen today and I did big circle arms". She was so proud of herself.

Once dressed she and emily ran off. Two peas in a pod those two. Emily is 4, almost 12 months older, but Maddy is taller (an Emily is quite tall) and heavier. She has gotten so tall I think she will be getting close to Adam soon.

Her kicking is getting better, smaller and much faster. She is very quick across the pool. She just needs to do bigger circle arms and she will be doing well. But we shouldn't expect too much...she has only just turned three!! But Joel does want her to be a super sports star so she can support us in early retirement!
